I love creatively written fantasy as well as a good retelling of classic fairytales and For the Wolf manages to tick all those boxes! This hauntingly beautiful, fractured retelling of Little Red Riding Hood is an un-put-down-able fairy tale that traces the boundaries of duty, love, and loss. I couldn't stop reading it, and am looking forward to getting my hands on the sequel: "For the Throne" - Louisa C.
I love National Parks and have been lucky to visit many of them with my family. This book makes me want to head out on the road again and see some more. Knighton celebrates the parks the way a person should, learning about the area, history and experiencing so much of what they have to offer. When he titled the book he chose the footprint theme rather than a common sign you see at natural places "leave no trace". - Mary R.
This book was published in 2014 but I just read it. The writing is what appealed to me although I can't explain how - maybe lyrical describes it. The book is set in WWII. It describes the effects of the war on two young people, one French and one German and how their lives eventually converge. - Diana J.
My favorite recent book was The Water Knife by Paolo Bacigalupi. It’s a dystopian novel about water in the southwest US. It uses place names we’ll all recognize. - Marianna Y.
