NGBC Family Learning Adventures!
Designed with the homeschooling family in mind, but not exclusively for homeschoolers, our Family Learning Adventures are carefully curated collections of books, guides and materials to explore a specific topic. Each kit comes with a curriculum guide full of ideas and suggestions for activities and learning projects, from science experiments and art ideas to recipes and field trips!
Our learning guides are intended to engage the whole child, using all of the senses and including ideas for all core subjects. These kits work well for various ages learning together, and while probably best suited for elementary and middle school age kids, also include ideas to engage the youngest learners and ways to go deeper for more advanced learners.
There will be a different theme each month, though individual kits can be used at any time.
January's Theme is "Winter Wonderland"
Have you heard the Swedish quote?: “There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.”
If we are prepared with proper layers and clothing, the winter wonderland at our doorstep is ours to explore! And it is a magical place to explore. So take a cue from Scandinavian mothers, layer up, and head outside to experience the quiet, stillness and wonder of winter. And then, see how much more you enjoy the contrast of coming back inside to the coziness and warmth of your home.
